OUR PRESIDENTS

BADRUL ISLAM (2008-2009) BADRUL ISLAM is a founding partner of the law firm Badr Law Associates where he practices criminal and commercial litigation. He received a B.A. (Economics, European History) degree from University of the Punjab, Lahore and a LL.B. degree from S.M. Law College, University of Karachi. He was admitted and enrolled as an advocate on the roll of the Punjab Bar Council on 30/01/1988 and became an Advocate of the High Court on 14/05/1996. Badul Islam has served in numerous bar positions, including Vice President of this Association in 1995-1996. He served as the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the bar the same year. In 1997-1998 and in 1998-1999 he served on The Bar’s Executive Committee, as the Chairperson of the Accountability Committee, a member of the Educational Documents Verification Committee and as the Administrator of DBA Club. He served on The Lahore High Court Bar Association Executive Committee, twice, in1998-1999 and 1999-2000. In addition to his Bar service, Mr. Badrul Islam has been long active in community and political affairs. He was appointed in 1995, by the government as a member of Crimes Control Committee and the Committee for the Control of Narcotics. He also served on the Price control committee the same year. He is the founding President and a current member of the National Society for Minorities’ Rights. Additionally, he is a past Secretary General of Pakistan People’s Party, Gujrat His biography was selected for inclusion in many publications including ‘Marquis Who is Who in the World’.
